Have fun, play, and make each word count.

If you read pictures books, or write them, you've probably noticed fewer words on the pages. As authors are encouraged to write amazing stories with fewer words, Vivian Kirkfield's 50 Precious Words contest challenges us to make it fun.
Children's books are getting shrinking, in word count that is.
Vivian Kirkfield's #50preciouswords contest is a fun and engaging way for children's writers to stretch their creativity. The premise: write a story for children under 12 in 50 words or less.
My submission explores the daily love between sisters in a poem for young children. Submitted in the 2020 #50preciouswords contest. View fun, inspiring entries: https://viviankirkfield.com/2020/02/29/50preciouswords-2020-contest-is-officially-open/

Let’s be puppies today.
Should we race?
No, play chase!
Banged your knees?
Huggie, please.
Look what I made for you.
It’s so pretty, thank you!
Will you read this book?
Come sit in our nook.
Sis, I love you.
I love you, too.
