​Children’s literature is magical, don't you think? A book has the power to inspire, teach, entertain, and soothe our budding humans--from babbling babies to tenacious teens. In my career as an SLP, I've taught children with disabilities to communicate and books are always part of my processes. 

 

I write fiction stories that are filled with heart and sprinkled with humor. My nonfiction writing centers around communication, disability inclusion, and anything that makes me wonder. My words become picture books, chapter books, and middle grade novels.

As part of my advocacy for children with disabilities, I consult with schools and provide workshops and coaching for educators. I specialize in early childhood development and multilingual language development (hablo español también).

 

I'm an avid reader, a home cook, an outdoor lover, and a creative spirit. I live in Colorado with my husband, two daughters, and snuggly cat.
